Apartment Building Alteration

The building was constructed in 1930 and was altered in 1976 to contain ten ( 10 ) apartments.  Our total alteration design for this pre-World War II classic 5 story walk-up included a new elevator serving ten different apartment designs.  Design of this full-size elevator was surgically integrated providing enhanced accessibility for all residents.  The classically designed limestone façade was restored and all new modern dual operating aluminum windows offer abundant light and air.  Additional floor area was captured to allow for larger duplex Penthouse Apartments both with custom designed terraces.  New mechanical, electrical and plumbing infrastructure was incorporated to provide energy-efficient environmental systems.  Finishes of the highest quality were installed in all apartments.  The new lobby entrance and wall is all about contemporary living with cutting edge detailing of finished wood and metal mesh paneling.  Linear LED hallway light fixtures set the pace while the suspended circular LED fixtures float in the main entrance.
