Entrance and Lobby Restoration

One Main Street located in Brooklyn, NY., also known as The Clock Tower Condominiums, was converted from the Gair Company building to residential apartments in 1998. The sixteen-story 275,000 S.F. reinforced concrete structure was flooded by Hurricane Sandy which extensively damaged the lobby interior. Our work included restoration of the lobby interior’s damaged marble wainscoting and total reconstruction of the existing bronze and glass entrance doors.

We developed historically accurate details and motorized operation of the new bronze and glass entrance doors to provide physically handicapped access. A new bronze-framed glass showcase was also restored to original historic design details which included indirect lighting. Our work continues at One Main Street as the building Architect involved with ongoing project reviews. The building is located in the DUMBO Historic District.
