Apartment Alterations at South Street Seaport

Located in the South Street Seaport Historic District, this original wine warehouse built in 1867 with Italianate details, common during this period, was converted to residential condominiums in 2000.  Originally three stories, it grew to five stories (1867) and finally seven stories (2000).  Our work included design alterations of the penthouse apartment and several other lower floor apartments as well as design coordination of central building split air conditioning system.  New replacement fenestration, sprinkler modifications and re-roofing were also designed by our firm.  A new stair and bulkhead was designed for the penthouse apartment.  All apartment alterations included new bathroom and kitchen designs.  New electric service equipment was installed for the building with the original electric service damaged by Hurricane Sandy flooding of the cellar.  Our work conformed to all required NYC Landmark Preservation Commission requirements.
