Facade Restoration

In 1997, Cosmo Veneziale, Architect was commissioned by the Board of Directors of the Colonial Studios to restore the monumental projecting copper building cornice damaged over the years by high winds and water infiltration. The Colonial Studios, No. 39 West 67th Street, designed by Pollard & Steinam and completed in 1906, was a building for painters seeking duplex living and working dwelling units. After successful historic restoration of the building cornice, Cosmo Veneziale, Architect undertook the restoration of the unique projected metal bays and balcony at the principal south facing façade. The Colonial Studios is a key building in the West 67th Street Artists Colony Historic District.
