Fifth Avenue Penthouse

The “uplifting” design of this four thousand square foot Fifth Avenue penthouse apartment was the key concept to maximize incredible views of Central Park and New York City skyline. Original 7’-6” ceiling heights created compressed spaces devoid of light and minimal views. Creative redesign of the apartment’s air conditioning system afforded the Architect the ability to create eleven-foot-high living room ceilings with expansive views from the custom designed perimeter glazing system. The sun-drenched living spaces and bedrooms are crafted with museum-quality Italian sycamore, Venetian plaster, nickel trim and nickel hardware. As a counterpoint, the kitchen is constructed with premium quality beechwood. Floors are naturally finished wide plank white ash and marble slabs are used throughout every bathroom. The contemporary sycamore panel detailing includes specially designed picture hanging wall trim allowing versatile location of artwork. Exterior terraces are designed with raised granite pavers permitting seamless access from the apartment interiors. Expertly crafted limestone cladding and custom designed railings complete the exterior design of this truly spectacular penthouse apartment.
