Apartment Alteration

This traditionally designed 3,700 square foot Park Avenue apartment houses four bedrooms and four- and one-half bathrooms. Spaces unfold from the classic black and white marble entry foyer upon opening the custom bronze ornamental entrance door. Passage through the paired Doric columns to the living room reveals the custom wool carpet and flanking clamshell display niches reminiscent of turn-of-the-century Park Avenue residences. The den space could be from a luxury yacht but was exquisitely detailed and crafted in mahogany by the designers and Contractor. The main hallway is furnished with paintings which are indirectly illuminated. Each bathroom is beautifully detailed and there is no other bathroom than the Master Bathroom that is more exquisitely designed. Full-size slabs are hung like paintings in this traditional bathroom design. New custom mahogany windows were designed for the spaces fronting on Park Avenue to conform to NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission requirements.
